FullCircle Community Services (FCCS) offers Customized Community Group Services, commonly known as day programs, for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person-centered program provides a range of activities designed to promote self-advocacy, independence, confidence, socialization, relationship-building, and community exploration. Participants are empowered to make independent choices in a fun, comfortable, and safe environment.
Activities are tailored to each participant’s requests, interests, and needs. Participants take the lead in scheduling, planning, and engaging in their meaningful day, with support from the FCCS team.
Services are available in an inclusive group setting and within the community,
Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Some activities include:
Life Skills Coaching: Activities like cooking, budgeting, personal care, and household chores help participants manage daily tasks independently.
Self-Advocacy: Teaching participants to express their needs, make decisions, and advocate for their rights.
Job Skills Training: Providing opportunities to gain experience and practice skills needed for employment, such as career discovery, resume writing, interview preparation, computer/technology skills ---FCCS The College of Knowledge.
Volunteer Opportunities: Allowing participants to contribute to their community, fostering a sense of purpose and responsibility.
Recreational Activities: Offering choices in physical activities, arts and crafts, and social events, enabling participants to pursue their interests and hobbies.
Community Outings: Encouraging exploration of local businesses, parks, and events, which helps participants navigate and engage with their community.
Community outings include:
Local Activities and Small Businesses: Visits to the Bio Park Zoo, Museum of Natural History, arcades, Art Attack, movies, casinos, bowling alleys, Dave & Busters, parks, Isotope games, State Fair, craft fairs, community centers, and more.
Shopping Trips: Excursions to the mall, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Costco, Target, Sam’s Club, Hobby Lobby, Old Town, Michael’s, Five Below, $1.25 store, and more.
Eateries: Enjoying treats and meals at places like Italian Ice, Dunkin Donuts, Pinon Coffee, Popeye’s Chicken, Dairy Queen, Sonic, Dion’s Pizza, Boba Tea, Bahama Bucks, Subway, Whole Foods, Chili’s, Chick-fil-A, The Cheesecake Factory, and more.
The FCCS day program also supports personal goals for growth, development, and long-term vision as outlined in each participant’s Individual Service Plan (ISP).
These benefits collectively contribute to a more fulfilling and empowered life for participants at FCCS.
According to the New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Waiver Services Standards, issued and effective as of November 1, 2023, FullCircle Community Services exceeds the requirements to provide Group Customized Community Services-Group.
